白马湖位于淮安市区东南约30公里，东贯大运河、南接淮河入江水道、西倚洪泽湖、北衔淮河入江水道。是南水北调工程东线过境湖泊、江苏省十大湖泊之一、全国15个生态良好重点保护湖泊之一。白马湖生态旅游景区依托白马湖天然区位优势，风光旖旎、生态优良、空气沁人心脾。目前，已创成国家湿地公园、国家4A级旅游景区、江苏省水利风景区。

Baimahu Lake is located approximately 30 kilometers southeast of Huai'an City. It is connected to the Grand Canal in the east, linked to the Huai River Estuary Waterway in the south, adjacent to Hongze Lake in the west, and connected to the Huai River Estuary Waterway in the north. It is one of the lakes traversed by the Eastern Route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, one of the top 10 lakes in Jiangsu Province, and one of the 15 key protected lakes with excellent ecological conditions in China. The Baima Lake Ecotourism Scenic Area relies on the natural advantages of Baima Lake, featuring picturesque landscapes, excellent ecological conditions, and refreshing air. Currently, it has been designated as the National Wetland Park, the National 4A-level Tourist Attraction, and the Jiangsu Provincial Water Conservancy Scenic Area.
