爱尔兰东南部的科克郡是江苏的友好省郡。本周五（3月6日），科克郡的几位正在学习汉语的中学生向江苏发来视频，用中文朗诵了一首毛泽东创作的《卜算子咏梅》为疫情阻击工作加油鼓劲。

Cork County, located in the southeast of Ireland, isa sister county of Jiangsu. On Friday, a group of high-school students learning Chinese sent videos to Jiangsu, offering encouragement for the fight against COVID-19 through "Ode to the Plum Blossom", a poem composed by Mao Zedong.

这六位来自加里格托希尔社区中学和圣布罗根中学的学生，是2月13日在科克郡举办的首届“梅花杯”中学生汉语演讲比赛的获胜选手。“待到山花烂漫时，她在丛中笑”，通过朗诵这首《卜算子咏梅》诗词作品，他们表达了对中国战胜疫情的信心。

The six students fromCarrigtwohill Community School andSt Brogan's Collegeare winners of the first "Meihua Cup" Chinese Language Competitionheld in Cork Countyon Feb. 13th. With Mao's Poem, they expressed their confidenceinChina's ability to counter theepidemic as wellas their wishes forawarm spring after the bitter winter.

长期以来，江苏省与科克郡在教育、文化、旅游、环保、农业领域建立了友好合作的平台，也保持着深入的文化互动与交流。自2017年开始，在友城合作框架下的“三叶草杯”中学生英语演讲比赛已经成为江苏省与科克郡年度合作的常设品牌项目。今年起举办的“梅花杯”汉语演讲比赛，也将继续深化双方的文化交流。

Jiangsu and Cork has established along-termplatform forcollaboration of education, culture, tourism, environmental protection and agriculture, while maintaining cultural exchange relationships. Since 2017, "Shamrock Cup" English Language Competition held every year in Jiangsuhas become a long-term brand under the sister county-province framework of Jiangsu and Cork.Starting this year, "Meihua Cup" will furtherenrich mutual cultural communication.

科克郡郡长伊恩道尔于2月24日致信江苏，表达对江苏人民的慰问支持。道尔在信中说：“在当今全球化时代，科克郡愿与江苏省政府及人民携手应对疫情。中国为遏制新冠肺炎疫情采取了最严格的措施，我们十分赞赏。我坚信，中国一定能早日战胜疫情。‘人心齐，泰山移’这句中国谚语用在这里再合适不过。”

Cllr Ian Doyle, Mayor of Cork County, also conveyed the support forand confidenceinthe people ofJiangsu in his letter to Wu Zhenglong, Governor of Jiangsu.He wrote thatthe collaborativeefforts taken within China and worldwide will"no doubt yield a higher success rate in overcoming this epedemic quickly", quoting a Chineseidiom "when the people work with one heart, we can move the moutain".
