宿迁市情概况
宿迁市地处江苏省北部，辖三县两区，面积8524平方公里、人口592万，是著名的“名酒之乡”“杨树之乡”“鱼米之乡”“花木之乡”，拥有“项王故里、中国酒都、水韵名城”三张名片。建市以来，全市地区生产总值增长了31.9倍，位居全国70强，成为长三角地区发展速度最快、综合实力提升最明显的地级市之一。2022年，全市地区生产总值达4111.98亿元、增长3.6%，总量再上一个千亿台阶；一般公共预算收入增长1.5%、增速全省第一；列统的16项主要指标中，15项增速超过全省平均、10项增速全省前三、4项增速全省第一。
宿迁是一座历史悠久、底蕴深厚的城市。早在5万年前，就有“下草湾人”在此繁衍生息。8000年前，顺山集人在此捕鱼打猎，将江苏文明史推前了1600年；2000多年前，西楚霸王项羽破釜沉舟、推翻暴秦，霸王别姬的爱情故事千古传唱；战争年代，刘少奇、陈毅等老一辈革命家曾在这里浴血奋战，彭雪枫、江上青等上万名革命先烈长眠于宿迁大地。
宿迁是一座产业兴旺、创新发展的城市。构建“6+3+X”制造业产业体系、打造20条重点产业链，做大做强机电装备、绿色食品、高端纺织、光伏新能源、绿色家居、新材料等主导产业，积极培育新一代信息技术、生物医药、数字经济等先导产业，获批中国家电产业基地、中国包覆纱产业基地、国家级食品产业园、中国（宿迁）跨境电子商务综合试验区等称号。以晶硅光伏为龙头的新能源产业、以化学纤维为支撑的高端纺织产业和以酿酒、调味品为特色的绿色食品产业产值将分别于2023年、2024年、2025年突破1000亿元。

About Suqian City
Suqian City, located in the north of Jiangsu Province, governs 3 counties and 2 districts and covers an area of 8,524 km2with a population of 5.92 million. It is widely known as “the hometown of famous liquors, aspens, fish and rice, and flowers and trees”. It has three famous name cards, respectively, the hometown of King Xiang Yu, the capital city of liquor in China and the city famous for water charms. Since its establishment, the city’s GDP has increased by 31.9 times, ranking among the top 70 in the country, becoming one of the prefecture-level cities with the fastest development speed and the most obvious improvement in comprehensive strength in the Yangtze River Delta region. In 2022, the city’s regional GDP will reach RMB 411.198 billion withan increase of 3.6%, reaching a higher hundreds of billion level; the general public budget revenue increased by 1.5%, the first growth rate in the province; among the 16 main indicators in the list, 15 grew faster than the provincial average, accompanied by 10 indicators ranking top three and 4 indicators ranking top in the province.
Suqian is a city featuring a long history and profound culture. As early as 50,000 years ago, ancient people of Xiacao Bayinhabited here; about 8,000 years ago, ancient people of Shunshanji fished and hunted here, pushing the history of Jiangsu civilization forward by 1,600 years; about 2,000 years ago, the love story of Xiang Yu, Overlord of Western Chu that crossed the Rubicon, overthrew the reign of Qin Dynasty, and his lover, Consort Yu, ended here and was told for generations. During the time of wars, revolutionaries of the older generation, such as Liu Shaoqi and Chen Yi, fought their lives to win battles here, while tens of thousands of other revolutionary martyrs like Peng Xuefeng perished in the land of Suqian.

With the construction of a “6+3+X” manufacturing industrial system and the formation of 20 major industrial chains, the city is expanding and enhancing its mainstream industries, covering mechanical and electrical equipment, green food, high-end textile, photovoltaic new energy, green home appliances, and new materials, etc. Also, it is actively cultivating a new generation of leading industries, including IT, biomedicine and digital economy etc. In recent years, it has been successively titled as China Home Appliance Industry Base, China Covered Yarn Industry Base, National Food Industrial Park, China (Suqian) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone etc. The output value of the new energy industry led by crystalline silicon photovoltaic, the high-end textile industry supported by chemical fiber and the green food industry characterized by brewing and condiment will exceed RMB 100 billion in 2023, 2024 and 2025 respectively.
Suqian is a city highlighting picturesque rivers and lakes with an inhabitable environment. Two lakes, Luoma Lake and Hongze Lake, located here, with the Grand Canal and the old course of Yellow River flowing through the city.
