East China’s Jiangsu province has made every possible effort to advances epidemic control with all-out efforts while stepping up production, allocation and supply of key materials and maintaining social and economic progress.

44 major investment projects broke ground in Suqian on Monday. With emerging industries of strategic importance making up four tenth of the total, these projects will bring nearly 33 billion yuan.
40 major investment projects broke ground in Nantong on Monday, totaling 45 billion yuan and 12 of them reporting individual investment of 1 billion yuan.
Tongshan district of Xuzhou witnessed 58 major investment projects breaking ground on Monday. These projects will bring a total of 42 billion yuan to the local economy.
In Taizhou, a number of projects in the automobile parts manufacturing and new medicine sectors broke ground, adding new impetus to the development of a leading industry that has already had a strong foundation.
Taicang kicked off the construction on 88 industrial projects with a total investment of over 66.5 billion yuan. 9 of the projects were listed as major provincial-level projects, ranking first in the county-level cities in the province.
As of February 23, about 43 thousand enterprises in Jiangsu have resumed production, accounting for 95% of the total. 5.07 million workers have returned to their posts, accounting for 71% of the workers employed in the province’s industrial enterprises.
In the meantime, Jiangsu has removed the checkpoints at entrances to expressways, highways, toll gates, service areas and provincial boundaries so as to ease the traffic flow and ensure more workers return to their posts.

Enterprises in various parts of the province have also arranged for coaches and trains to transport workers from outside the province to their posts in Jiangsu.
The city of Nantong has chartered an aircraft to transport 170 workers from Shaanxi province to Nantong.
Authorities in the city of Suzhou have arranged for a makeshift train to ferry more than 300 workers from Tongren city, Guizhou province.
The Provincial Market Regulatory Administration has made it clear that before the end of the epidemic prevention and control it will once again reduce or exempt the administrative and institutional fees of related enterprises. According to preliminary estimates, the total burden on enterprises will be reduced by more than 20 million yuan.
Chinese President Xi Jinping Sunday stressed orderly resumption of work and production, with specific requirements made to that end.
Each region should adopt a precise approach when advancing resumption of work and production based on local health risks, Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks when delivering an important speech at a meeting in Beijing to advance the work on coordinating the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus disease epidemic and economic and social development.
Regions with relatively low risks should reorient their disease prevention and control strategies as soon as possible to focus on forestalling imported cases and comprehensively restoring the order of production and life, Xi said.
Medium-risk regions should promote work and production resumption in an orderly manner based on local epidemic-control situations, while high-risk regions should continue to be fully committed to doing a good job in epidemic prevention and control, he said.
