大运河“百里画廊”是淮安大运河文化带建设的引领性工程。洪泽区是大运河“百里画廊”的精华段落区、重点展示区。全区建设范围约63公里，横贯西顺河、老子山、开发区、古堰景区等六镇（街）两区。

洪泽区以建设长三角地区知名旅游目的地城市为定位，把大运河“百里画廊”规划与国土空间规划、大运河文化保护传承利用实施规划、乡村振兴规划、旅游发展规划等有机衔接、整体协调，以沿线生态资源保护及生态修复为目标，编制“一廊五片”整体规划，构建以洪泽湖大堤为轴线，以沿线特色镇街、园区、景区为支点的绿色发展格局，充分彰显洪泽自然生态之美、水韵人文之美、城乡宜居之美、绿色发展之美，洪泽湖沿线资产资源价值加速转化，阅湖湾等处成为市民的花园、游客的乐园。

The “Hundred-Mile Gallery" of the Grand Canal is a leading project in the construction of the Huai'an Grand Canal Cultural Belt. Hongze District is the epitome and key exhibition area of the “Hundred-Mile Gallery”. The construction area covers approximately 63 kilometers, spanning across six towns (sub-districts) and two districts, including Xishunhe, Laozi Mountain, the Development Zone, and the Ancient Weir Scenic Area etc.

Hongze District is positioned as a renowned tourist destination in the Yangtze River Delta. It integrates the planning of the “Hundred-Mile Gallery” of the Grand Canal with the overall land and spatial planning, the implementation of the Grand Canal cultural heritage conservation and utilization plan, rural revitalization planning, and tourism development planning etc. With the goal of protecting and restoring ecological resources along the canal, the district has developed an integrated plan called the “One Gallery, Five Zones”, which revolves around the Hongze Lake embankment and leverages the unique features of towns, parks, and scenic areas along the canal. This plan aims to create a green development pattern that showcases the beauty of Hongze’s natural ecology, water-rhythm cultural heritage, livable urban-rural areas, and sustainable development. The transformation of assets and resources along the Hongze Lake is accelerating, and places like Yuehu Bay have become gardens for residents and paradise for tourists.
