The immense patience and energy
it required reveals itselfon the tip of fingers,
on the edgeof knives, and in time.
千年运河水和江南文人气,
孕育了淮扬美食。
The history of a thousand-year canal town,
the continuing literary tradition in China’s
highly developed southeastern region,
helped the rise of Huaiyang cuisine.
功夫,是技艺,
是造诣,更是时间。
KungFu requiresskills,

鬼斧神工,再造乾坤

All combined in a dance
show of the blades.

蒸、烧、炒、吊汤
Stew, braise, simmer, broil,
steam,stir-fry, simmer, and stock-boiling
